Our Client is looking for a Security Engineer to enhance the Company’s information security program. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating response to security related incidents and supporting various security software and hardware including firewall management, configuration, and maintenance.

Duties

Work closely with various members IT department to deploy technical controls to meet specific security requirements. Follow processes and standards to ensure that security configurations are maintained. Firewall configuration and maintenance, primarily Checkpoint.
Support and manage security hardware and software that the company utilizes to protect the enterprise
Proactively assesses and resolves potential security risks and opportunities of vulnerability in the network.
Provide critical and essential support to (geographical) locations enterprise-wide.
Proactively research and stay up to date with the latest security issues.
Improve and upgrade the Security Infrastructure, such as evaluation of new software and hardware required to meet a business need or to make a process more cost effective.
Handle low to complex resolution of security related Service Desk tickets.
Participate in tool and vendor evaluations.
Participate in an on-call rotation to support Production environment during off hours.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a Security role supporting an Enterprise environment.
3-5 years experience with Checkpoint Firewalls.
Extensive knowledge of Security standards, protocols, and practices including TCP/IP, DNS, RSA DLP, SSL, VPN, IPSEC, IDS/IPS, NAC, PCI/SOX.
Extensive knowledge of Security hardware and software – Checkpoint, Tipping Point, Websense.
Experience with server operating systems including Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux.
Knowledge of and familiarity with Active Directory.
Excellent organizational, written and verbal skills.
Detail oriented, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated, ability to work in a team and independently.
Checkpoint certification a very strong plus.
Knowledge of and experience with other firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco PIX, etc) a strong plus. 
CISSP preferred.
